Well, I was set to fly in to Kansas this morning to try and kill one of those Midwestern giants over the next few days. But due to the ice and power outages across much of the region, we couldn't even fly in to the area.
I was just wondering how this weather has effected everyone in that area? Man, it's been 80 degrees the past few days in Georgia, so it really is crazy how the weather is so different across the country.

Ice is a major problem in SEK. Dangerous to even enter the timber with all the limbs and trees falling. Hopefully will warm up and get rid of the ice soon. I still have a tag to use in the late season. Of course I may need a chain saw to find my treestands with my timber looking like a war zone. Hope you are able to make it out for the late season. Good luck.
Im with you David. Been about 75 the passed few days here in NC but we are looking at it dropping for Saturdays hunt. Hope the weather man is right on that one. Sure is making late season here tough. But we have until Jan 1st where i hunt so there is still time.
Hey David,
I hope you are able to get to Kansas. The weather in GA has been crazy being 80 degrees one day than 50 degrees the next. Hunting has been really tough b/c of the weather. This weekend is supposed to be much cooler. Well talk to ya later.
God Bless & Good Huntin'
Kristle Oberlander-GA
PS Hopefully when you get to Kansas you'll get a monster. Good Luck.
In Southeast Missouri it is as bad as it gets I haven't seen the sun in about a week. Temperatures high and the deer arent moving..(neither are the ducks) I hope you have a lot better luck than I have.. I haven't sent a shaft through the mathews in about a month and a half at a deer.
hope you get a BBD

Before the icy weather hit my buddy got his buck with a bow December 6th (during rifle season wearing his pumpkin suit) here in Johnson Co. KS. We did get 2-3 inches of snow that day right after he shot it. That could have made for a real hard track job with the snow covering the blood trail, but thank the Lord we found him quick and we got some awesome snow buck pictures. http://reepicheep-ajf.blogspot.com/2007/12/2007-bow-buck-down.html

had the best year hunting with the worst luck. leased some propery in nebraska and just have not seen many deer. my 14 year old son and i have always hunted with outfitters and have enjoyed great success. this year we did it ourselves and have killed only one small 8 pointer between us. but the extra time i have spent with him made it our best season ever. now he understand that it is hunting not killing and our bond as hunters as well as father and son has grown tremendously
Live 20 minutes from the Nebraska border in Kansas. Ice everywhere making it almost impossible to hunt, we need 2-3 days of warm weather to melt ice. Good Luck if you make it in. All I can say is food source, food source, food source!!

Hi David,
I have seen your shows and like the way you represent the true hunting experience I hope you get to Kansas, but if not I'm sure there are other deer. Good luck from hunter1 @ bowhuntersrave.com
