The Archery Tournament

We are fired up about Monster Bucks XVI! And while we’re busy editing the hunts that made the final cut, one thing that has become “front and center” is the Monster Bucks Archery Tournament.
Last year’s tourney seemed to be a big hit. I can honestly say that T-Bone, Michael and myself shooting at targets scattered throughout a junk yard was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever been on. I have to say that the paintball war (actually kind of one-sided since we were the only ones with guns) with Channel Cat and his cousin was the highlight!
Two years ago, we opted to not offer the archery tournament on Monster Bucks. Not because we had thought it had run its course, but mainly we knew that if viewers really, really enjoyed the yearly archery match they would certainly let us know about it when Monster Bucks XIV came out. And boy did ya’ll!
We knew then that the archery tournament was as popular for the viewers as it was for us to shoot in it.
Well, we’re planning the shoot for Monster Bucks XVI and we are already coming up with some cool ideas. There definitely is going to be a participant you’ve never seen in the archery tournament before. And some WAY different targets!
But there is time for some feedback as to what you’d like to see in this year’s archery tournament.
Let me hear from you! What do you like? What do you not like?
Either way, we’re gonna be slinging some arrows!
And please stop by and see us this weekend in Atlanta at the NWTF Convention!

David,I live in Massachusetts (unfortunately - for a variety of reasons) but thoroughly enjoy watching Monster Bucks. You guys get me pumped up for hunting as if I needed any help. I like the bow and muzzle loader hunts the best. Also, appreciate when you show us a miss now and then. Would love to have you up this way to speak. We could use a Godly influence up in these parts.

Hey David,
I can't wait for Monster Bucks XVI to come out. I love the archery segment. I think Bill, Tyler, Michael, T-Bone and you should all be in the tournament. That would be interesting. I plan on being at the NWTF Convention on Saturday (late afternoon) and I hope that I will get to meet you. Talk to ya later.

Hey David! I just found your blog. I really enjoy your monter bucks videos and the archery tournaments. My two year old son likes watching the videos with me. I think he's going to be a deer hunter. Keep up the good work.
Archery Tournament is always fun to watch in the middle of the hunting action. Great NWTF show, was there saturday, came by and talked w/ Michael and got some new TR items. -Dilbeck

Thats funny because I just emailed T bone last month about this. I am 25 years old and I started watching MB when I was very young, in fact I kinda grew up watching team realtree, when I was old enough to drive I started going to some of the nwtf shows just to meet you guys. In my e-mail I told T-bone it would be awsome if you could get 3 or 4 of your biggest fans to shoot against you guys, not only would it be fun to watch but talk about a dream come true for some lucky hunters.

mr. blanton...i also enjoy watching the archery shoots! i dont have a preferance though, as to what id like to see more of in the shoots! you guys sure know how to keep my occupied until deer season rolls around! keep up the great work! and good luck!
David I love the Monster Buck videos. I would think it would be cool to see some of the younger kids in there. You guys to do a great job and I'm hooked on Team Realtree. Hopefully one day I get to meet you guys. Keep it up and we can always use more bow hunts.

My family and I have looked forward to the Realtree MB Videos each year since about 1996! We especially enjoyed the archery tournaments. My favorite memory is the across the lake shot by Michael. One thing I wish you guys would do though!!! Try not to use so many pros and famous people in you hunts. Find a husband and wife team somewhere that are just regular folks. Show the people that you don't have to be famous or rich to be successful in the outdoors. Only you guys could pull this off with style and class!!!
TYLER...How funny would it be to have Tyler recruited by T-bone to be on HIS team as a dejected and visibly shaken Bill struggles through the shoot...
Hey David. I love the archery tournament but I must be the only one who liked it better the old way with a traditional 3-D tournament. Any plans on a tournament like that again? I like the other's ideas that asked for Tyler to be included. Great idea.
