It's Draw Time... I Hope.

I love this time of year for many reasons. Baseball season is within a week of starting and Alex will be playing on the LaGrange JV team. Their first game is next Saturday and we can’t wait. Sitting at the ballpark visiting with good friends and other parents while your child is out on the field is an awesome feeling. Harman and his buddies are fired up about fishing this spring like I’ve never seen! They’ve even got a big fishing trip planned for this weekend.
Oh yeah, turkey season is going to be opening really soon. The Alabama season, right across the Chattahoochee River from us, opens March 15 and Georgia opens March 22.
But there is another reason I look forward to this time of year and it is the big game draw results that start coming in from hunts applied for out west. AND WE ALREADY HAVE A WINNER!
Bill has drawn his first ever Wyoming archery elk tag. That’s right, Bill is going to be hunting a big ol’ bugling bull in Unit 7, which is down near Casper. Michael Waddell drew that tag last year and killed a really nice 310-inch bull after encountering some bigger elk during his hunt.
There are lots of draw results that are still out and we await those results eagerly!
But for now, if Bill’s knees can hold up, he is going to be opening up his 2008 bowseason with a bang! (Well, not really a “bang” since it’s bowseason). You never know! This could be the year that I draw an Arizona Desert Sheep Tag!
Keep dreamin’!

Hey David,
That's great for Bill! Hope he'll kill a big bull elk. Hope you get your Arizona Desert Sheep Tag. Good Luck on that.
Just wanted to let you know that I had a blast meeting you and looks like I'll be up in Nashville next year. :) Maybe I'll be able to meet Bill. I had lots of fun at the NWTF Convention. I hope that I'll be able to hunt with y'all. If y'all need any help let me know. Talk to ya later.
God Bless & Good Huntin

PS I am pumped up for turkey season and can't wait to get out there and chase some gobblers.
I love this time of year too David. I have been getting my boat ready to start fishing again this spring, it seems like it's been a long time since I last took it out last fall. Also I'm getting ready for turkey season and day dreaming about them longbeards. I bet Bill is excited, I wish him luck and can't wait to see the hunt on film, and keep checking that mailbox, you never know! Take care.

Hey David,
Could you give a list of the most affordable hunts you guys come acrossed. I know some off the the hunts y'all do are pretty salty, but do you think you could recall a few over the years that impressed you as far as value? I am trying to save for a special hunt once a year. I would love to make each year something different. I think I would like to start with the most affordable, and then work up to the elaborate.
You know maybe a blue collar list if you will.
I have searched a lot of different type of outfitter guides. I guess I am looking for your personal opinion.
Thanks for your time,
Todd - Indiana
I'm in the draw for elk and pronghorn tags in three states and just found out last week that I was selected for a limited entry turkey hunt in prime Mississippi gobbler territory starting March 19th. Can't wait!
Good luck to everyone in the remaining draws.
Hey David,
Could you let me know where I could find realtree swimming trunks for my husband? We love your show and your clothes.
