Memorial Day 2008 is just about here and I want to take a moment to remember why we have our precious Freedom. I take for granted the special privileges my family and friends enjoy every day.
Going to church.
Playing basketball in the driveway.
Fishing for bluegills.
Attending Harman’s high school graduation.
Praying to God.
Watching CMT.
Going to lunch with friends.
Cutting the grass.
Filling my truck with gas.
Fixing a bowl of cereal at night.
Cleaning my turkey gun.
You get the point.
Our great country is free! And it came with a price tag. A very expensive price tag.
Lives.
Fighting soldiers’ lives.
And innocent civilians’ lives.
REMEMBER THIS AND BE THANKFUL.

You are right on David. We often take for granted to simple things of life, the everyday things and people we encounter. I know I am blessed as you are to be able to go to church, spend time with family and friends, hunt, travel, etc. And all along God is watching how we handle our freedom in this world and with our faith. Hope you have a Great weekend. Great Topic!

Hey David,
You are absolutely right. We often take things for granted and I know that I am blessed as you are, to be able to spend time with my family and friends, hunt, fish, etc. I am always praying for the soldiers because I know its not an easy thing to do. Talk to ya later. Have a GREAT WEEKEND.
God Bless & Good Huntin'

God bless all who are and where in harms way. May we honor those who fell, and the families who had loved ones fall. I think of my Dad and his Dad during this memorial day weekend. Not only the battles and fire fights, but the strange foreign land in which they had to survive in. The weather, the bugs, the going without, the thankful times they came back from a dangerous mission, barely escaping with there lives and knowing there where more missions to be done. Then without question going back out and facing the same thing again, wondering if you are going to be able to get out of this one alive, or is there a bullet or mine marked for you. Having to see horrible things that average civilians can't even dream up, and then living with those memories. Having to live on when you have lost friends and fellow soldiers who fought right next to you. I have the upmost respect for these men. Their unselfish sacrifice not only then but with the scars that still exist today. There is a special place in Gods eyes for these brave men. God knows in 1st hand experience what it means to be willing to lay down your life for love: Love of God, Love of family, Love of country, Love of freedom.

Well said todd, I agree 100%. It is hard living up here in liberal land to have to listen to people complain about the war and talk bad about our troops. I got this E-mail from my dad a few months back and I think it says it all.
One mother asked our president- why did my son have to die in Iraq?
Another mother asked our president- why did my son have to die in vietnam?
Another mother asked our president- why did my son have to die in Iwo Jima?
Then a long long time ago a mother asked- heavenly father why did my son have to die on a cross outside Jerusalem?
The answer is the same. So that others may have life and dwell in peace, happiness, and freedom.

Father's Day will have a whole new meaning this year to about 15 guys who now have a personal walk with Jesus. Through the personel witness of DB, these men accepted and/ or re-committed their lives to Jesus at a recent Sportsman's Banquet in Charlotte, NC. Not all that the Lord did that night is kown, but these numbers are known and we thank the Lord for using DB in this way.
May God continue to bless you and your company as you reach the men of America.
