Well, the 2008 turkey season is officially done. As always, some did good and some wished they'd had more luck.
As far as Realtree goes, we had a pretty good year. We killed a few birds in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, South Dakota, Montana, Wyoming and Alaska. Just kidding about Alaska. But did you know they are the only state that does not have wild turkeys?
So now that all the states have closed the turkey killing, let's get a tally on which state had the most success.
Post a comment on how many birds you killed and in which states and we'll see which state will come out on top.
Have a great weekend!

P.S. I did not know that Alaska did not have any turkeys. I learn something new every day. Congrats to everybody at Realtree who kill turkeys. They were tough this year.
You just had to bring it up didn't you. What do you have against me? I have to tell everyone I got skunked in Indiana for the 10th year in a row. Well I am not going to say it. Shoot... guess I just did. Just when my therapist was making so much ground in my mental health, you have to bring this up. Well, I guess I will have to look for my little blue happy pills he gave me and start my meditation theropies. Thank God there is only 114 days until deer season. That is when the true therapy begins.
OH glad YOU had a good season, at least I can read about what a successful turkey hunt is like.
Just kiddin around I do not have to harvest a turkey to have a succesfull season. We had beautiful weather, and some very good morrel mushrooms pop up this season. When I have the chance to spend a morning in God's creation that alone is a gift. So I had a good season.

David, I had a good year, I scored in Delaware, my home state, along with Maryland, South carolina, and New York. Good times. Enjoyed your article in CFS.
