Friends

What I love most about working and making my living in the hunting industry is the awesome friendships made with some of the many, wonderful people who you really get to know in our business.

It shouldn’t be any surprise that I have always been very close to Will Primos. In fact, I was one of the turkey hunters on the TRUTH II turkey hunting video. We’re talking about almost twenty years ago.

Well, two of the classiest people you’ll ever meet in ANY walk of life is Primos’ own Brad Farris and Troy Ruiz. We’ve become very close friends and I admire them for their Christian faith, love for their families and their sense of humor!
As a matter of fact, if you were to see some of the text “conversations” we have while sitting in a treestand or the “voicemails” we leave for each other, you would walk away shaking your head mumbling, “Them guys ain’t right!”

For example, this past Sunday evening, my cell phone rang and it was Troy and Brad (and a bunch of the Primos gang) calling from deer camp in Iowa. They were sitting around watching Outdoor Channel and The Jackie Bushman Show came on featuring my oldest son Harman and me. Well, trust me you’ve never heard such as the ensuing conversations that took place! It was a hoot! (And I’ll never divulge the entire dialogue either.)

Then I get this picture they took while in camp! It is one of the priceless moments that makes me feel so blessed to have friendships like this.

Great photo and story. One thing I noticed that I thought was only a southern thing is using the old TV as a TV stand for the new TV. Cracked me up!!

They are genuine. They always seem to have a good time no matter what is going on.

When are they coming back to the Realtree camo?

Hey David I'm probably the biggest realtree fan in the world. I work at a university as a hvac tech. My heart and soul is to some day make it big time in the hunting industry or even video with the man John Tate. Realtree is my dream. How bout you and your boy Harman come to Scottsville Kentucky for some awesome Ky thundering bird action.

I love watching your hunts. My husband got me into deer hunting about 10 years ago. I have really enjoyed it. I admire the way you are with your family and your values. Thank you for being such a good role model.
