Vote For Your Favorite Hunting Show

I opened my mail today and received my annual invitation to attend the Golden Moose Awards hosted by Outdoor Channel at next month’s SHOT Show. Now the SHOT Show is the hunting and shooting industry’s “closed to the public” trade show where, for four days, all the companies that attend hold sales meetings, discuss business plans and sell to dealers, distributors, retailers, etc.
It’s HUGE!
Anyway, for several years, Outdoor Channel holds a big event where they announce the winners of many categories for all the shows that air on their network. And most of these awards, named the Golden Moose Awards, are voted on by the viewers such as you. It’s a big night and it’s fun to have all the shows represented under on big roof!
So I thought it would be fun to see what you think about your hunting shows! Any hunting show airing on ANY network is fair game.
Now, since this is my blog on REALTREE’S website, you are not allowed to mention Realtree Outdoors, Realtree Road Trips or Monster Bucks Television. Because I want to know, OUTSIDE OF REALTREE PRODUCTIONS, what are your favorite hunting shows.

Or those Primos shows,etc.
Hard to list many without being connected directly to Realtree.

Jim Shockey's show, The best and worst of Tred Barta, Ted Nugents show.
These shows are not just good hunting shows, but they are not the normal hunt shows. Week to week it is something different. I really like the variety of game you see. It is not all whitetail and Turkey. Not that there is anything wrong with those species, I love them. But it does spark an interest when they are hunting a species you have never hunted before. I especially like the humor in these shows, or the stances they take on preserving our way of life.

I would have listed Bone Collector but since its Got Michael and T-bone I assume its got to related to Realtree somehow
You mean there are other shows out there? I guess if I had to watch an other show it would have to be:
1) Spirit of the Wild with Uncle Ted
2)Anything Primos
3)Gettin Close with Lee and Tiff

I enjoy white-tail freaks, wildlife obsession, and primos, the truth about whitetails. I also have a question about farmland deer. What would you consider to be the smallest parcel of land that has a reasonable prospect of seeing quality-trophy class whitetails in farm contry along the Mississippi River? Could you please address a blog to this subject?

hello David its jacob from northern rockies outfitters. i would say the best show is monster bucks and realtree outdoors!
I attended the Golden Moose Awards and saw Lee and Tiffany win a couple of awards. It is just too bad that Tiffany couldn't be more of a presence. She seems to ride on Lee's coat tails. However, it does seem that she draws in the male viewers. It's funny, if I had a choice to watch Lee or Michael Waddell, I would watch Michael. Without Tiffany, he wouldn't have so many viewers. I would like to see a STRONG, INDEPENDENT woman out there on a show, one who can take on everything without the accessory of a husband.

Just catching up on the blog and the question caught my eye. Have to say, besides anything with D.Blanton and/or M.Waddell or with Blake Shelton as a guest my favorites are:
1) Jim Shockey's Hunting Adventures
2) Best and Worst of Tred Barta
3) Tie: Archer's Choice &
Easton Bowhunting
Side note: could do without the quick editing that's becoming quite popular and has even been adopted on Bone Collector and even Mathews TV this year. It's probably increasily common due to the success of Lee and Tiffany's format and need to attract a younger audience. My favorite shows usually have hosts with a sense of humor & humility, interesting destination hunts and some behind the scenes camp or travel situations. The occassional tip also helps. Tough to beat Blanton, Shockey and Waddell on those fronts. That said, I still very much enjoy The Crush and BC
