Realtree along with Chevy, Shell Oil Company and Motorsports Authentics have come together to launch a new program geared toward the NASCAR fan and the outdoor enthusiast. ‘Chevrolet’s Driven to the Outdoors’ (DTTO) will kick off in exciting fashion in conjunction in one of the biggest and most popular races of the year, the Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway, on August 22-23. The program will also be announced live on SPEED’s Trackside Live with a uniquely themed set on Friday, August 22. In addition to the program announcement the Chevrolets driven by Paul Menard, Martin Truex, Jr., and Clint Boyer will be the first among a list of NASCAR stars that will carry special Realtree camouflage paint schemes in conjunction with the program.
With hunting season just around the corner, Realtree wanted to provide a unique opportunity for its customers who are largely NASCAR fans by combining their two biggest passions – racing and outdoor life. DTTO will provide consumers with opportunities to collect exclusive merchandise and memorabilia around several NASCAR stars and teams as they race the special paint schemes throughout the next several months. In addition, fans will be able to cheer for the camo painted cars for the first time as Menard, Truex, and Boyer take to the high-banked action-filled track of Bristol Motor Speedway.
"Realtree is thrilled that the Driven to the Outdoors promotion offers more opportunity for race fans who love the outdoors to bring these two passions together in one place," Realtree’s Bill Jordan commented on the launch of the DTTO program.
Martin Truex, Jr. who is an avid outdoorsman finds the DTTO program a perfect fit for himself. “I’m really excited to be associated with Realtree’s Driven to the Outdoors program,” stated Truex. “I grew up hunting and it is still a big part of my life. I’ve always worn Realtree apparel, so to be associated with them in this promotion means a lot to me.”
DEI teammate and Chevy driver Paul Menard also enjoys spending time outdoors and is enthusiastic about participating in the DTTO program. "The Driven to the Outdoors program is an exciting way for our NASCAR fans to have more opportunity to explore the great outdoors through Realtree. Being a Wisconsin native, I grew up surrounded by nature and it is an honor to be a part of a program that brings nature and NASCAR racing together,” added Menard.
The excitement of DTTO doesn’t end with all the highly sought-after full line of NASCAR camouflage merchandise, collectibles and program-branded race cars. Fans will have an opportunity to win huge prizes in the DTTO sweepstakes. A special website, www.chevy.com/driven, will feature sweepstakes rules and a list of the great prizes tailored toward the NASCAR fan and outdoor enthusiast. One grand prize will be given away along with many other great prizes.
The DTTO program will officially launch on August 22 at Bristol Motor Speedway with a press conference announcing the sweepstakes, contest rules and a list of the great prizes available to the NASCAR fans and outdoor enthusiast who enter through the www.chevy.com/driven website.
