Realtree and many other outdoor-related companies hire educated and experienced employees to fill several types of positions required to successfully operate a business. Those areas commonly include accounting, marketing, graphic arts, and videography, among others. Our advice is to build on your own background and education to prepare yourself for a role that you will enjoy and that is commonly needed in the outdoor industry.

We recommend checking the store or website of Academy, Bass Pro, Cabela’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods, or Gander Mountain.
If you don’t find the item on the store’s website or in their stock, you can contact that company’s customer service department for assistance. Sometimes a retailer has an item in stock that does not display on its website.

Please send event details (date, location, event description, event size, and any other pertinent information) to jct [at] realtree [dot] com. Invitations should be received a minimum of 12 months in advance of the event date. In general, David’s hunting schedule runs from late August to late December, and his speaking schedule runs from January through August. Scheduling is done periodically and event invitations may be held until the next scheduling session. You will receive a response indicating whether or not David is able to accept your invitation.

Web searches on sites such as Google and Ebay are usually the best way to find items made with discontinued camouflage patterns.
You may also directly contact product manufacturers listed in our online database. (Realtree does not make or sell any products with camo patterns. We license patterns to these companies who make goods.)
Liquidation retailers such as the following may also carry products featuring older camo patterns: Sportsman’s Warehouse, Sportsman’s Liquidation, and Sportsman’s Guide.

Our hunts are planned one to two years in advance, to correspond with our television and video schedule. Please mail your invitation to Realtree, Attention: Video Department, 1390 Box Circle, Columbus, GA 31907. We receive hundreds of hunting invitations each year and keep all invitations on file. Although we can’t accept most invitations, we appreciate them and we give each one consideration.

How can I, or a deserving hunter I know, hunt with Bill Jordan or Team Realtree?
The Team Realtree pros wish they could hunt with everyone who asks, but they cannot. Most of the hunts they attend are by invitation and are planned with the outfitter a year in advance. There are sweepstakes and contests held throughout the year that offer hunts with the Team Realtree pros as prizes. Please watch major outdoor publications and this website for announcements about these promotions.

We occasionally hunt public land. While we believe hunts shown on public land are helpful to our viewers, we must be very selective because of the liability and the time constraints of our seasonal taping schedule.
Most often, our television shows feature hunts on private land. We have built a large following of viewers who enjoy seeing our hunts on some of the best private properties throughout North America.

How does someone become a pro staffer in the outdoor industry in general?
In general, pro staffers with most outdoor organizations have been involved in the industry for most of their lives and have thorough knowledge of hunting and the outdoors. Most have served on the staff of other outdoor industry companies.
Pro staffers build their skills by frequently participating in calling contests, tournaments, and television shows. Their skills also typically include sales and public speaking.
Very few pro staffers make a living hunting. Most have a full-time job in addition to their hunting schedules. However, pro-staffers must have the flexibility to travel as needed for their pro staff duties.
We usually recommend that someone interested in becoming a pro staffer participate in multiple events (such as those sponsored by Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, National Wild Turkey Federation, and so on) and meet as many field experts as possible.

Realtree only creates and promotes camo patterns for product manufacturers and their dealers. Please contact the company that produced the product. For garments and other soft goods, the company name is often on the inside label. For trail cameras and other hard goods, the company name is often on the bottom of the product or can be found on the product packaging.

Why can’t Realtree help with my product question or problem?
Realtree does not manufacture any products. We are a licensing company. We design the camo patterns and license the copyrighted patterns to manufacturers for use on their products.
