now THAT'S the spirit, ric. just showing up and camping for a day or a week, visiting, and meeting the folks on the forum. that's why i'll be there. of course, i'll have a fly rod, and maybe my gun, but it's the visiting i'll enjoy the most. just a great rt get together, with some hunting as an option.

For the rifle hunt, do you have to be drawn, or can you buy over the counter tags? Will definately give this some thought though. Will have to figure out how much it will cost all together.

Rifle Elk 2nd seaason is over the counter. Deer is by draw only. Archery is OTC also.

This would be a dream hunt and an awesome time back at camp. I'm not sure if I'll be able to swing it this year, but will be checking into it. I would prefer bow hunting but would gladly do whatever worked best for the majority. If it did work out, maybe oo_buck and I could ride out together.

Question on License fees. Does the $488 include license AND tag, or are these bought separate?

Man,that sure sounds like a great time!I've always wanted to do an elk hunt.I didn't know you could get non-resident tags otc.That's great.Is that for the second rifle season only?

If I have my hunters education card issued by Illinois, is that enough to get a liscence,or is there some type of federal card I need?

Can you tag a cow with a bull elk tag or is that for a bull only?

Is this all public ground and are a.t.v.'s allowed for game removal?

It sounds great,but I'm not sure what to expect.I would be happy bagging a cow.I don't have a rifle,but that might give me a reason to get one.A bow hunt would be great to.
Does Colorado have a % let-off rule for archery equipment?
