    Arrow Checking In...

    Hey Everyone,

I'm checking in, guess we have to come up with a team name huh? Anyone have any suggestions/desires? I'm Van, I live in Eastern Connecticut, and work for a defense contractor building the new Virginia Class Submarines for the US Navy. I've got 4 bow tags and 3 muzzleloader tags to fill, so hopefully out of 7 tags I'll be able to contribute to the team. I'm looking forward to getting to know the rest of you over the course of the contest, good luck everyone. -- Van

Hello everyone looks I'm your official youth member! I already started hunting 2 weekends ago. The season has been great so far, but I haven't gotten a shot at a deer yet. I have seen 10 so far though. I will for sure be contributing a doe for 5 points. I'm going to Montana with a mule deer and whitetail antlerless tag. I'll most likely end up filling both. I might be hunting some wisconsin land behind my buddy's house with some huge bucks. I'm going to have to work and save up $160 for the tag, but it will be worth it. I hope everyone has a great season. I'm glad to see that jerdanmagic is on our team. I hope you get that monster!

    P.S. Hey Dwin!!!

any of those would work as well as "lungbusters", "thwack-attack", or "put-em down", doesn't matter to me, just throwing some other names out there, what ever everyone want's to go with.

Whats up everybody? I like all the names suggested so far, but I'm leaning towards "The Drop Tine Nine" Whatever we decide, I'm just ready to put some deer on the ground! Yall know how many deer we're allowed to enter? I've got 28 or 29 doe tags this year, so put me down for the maximum allowed, haha. Looking forward to the contest as this will be first year to enter. Our archery season starts on Monday Oct. 1, but I probably won't be able to make it to the woods until Thursday evening. I'm going to hunt Thursday evening, and all day Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning, so I should have something to show by next week. Best of luck to team 15!!!!!!!

You can only submit one deer, but you may replace deer if you get something that is worth more points.

Example: I submit a doe, but later in the season I get an 8 point buck. I submit the buck and he replaces the doe. Lets say that I get another buck, but this one is a 12 point. I can submit him and he will replace the 8 pointer. So I would be going from 5 points to 13 points to 17 points. I'm alright with whatever gets chosen for a team name.

    Default Good News/Bad News.....

Well I went out, and I scored a button buck, I felt bad afterwards...had I know it was a button buck I'd of let it walk, but at any rate he'll taste pretty good, that's the good news. The bad news is this is when I found that there is something wrong with my digital camera so I wasn't able to get any pics to be able to take credit for the points for him. I'm not to concerned I've got 6 more tags before the end of the year, and I plan on doing a lot more hunting...right after I buy a new digital camera! -- Van
