that is a huge bear....i got these pics emailed to me a a year ago from how the story goes he was a maneater, he killed a hiker and was shot a few times with a 38 then this guy emptied his 7mm before he killed him

BIg bear, but it says right in the story it was shot at 10 yards, 7 times with a .338, did not charge, was not a man eater, squared 10.5 feet, and the skull ranks about 150 all time B and C. Big bear either way, and great story(the real version).

i first got those pics in an email when i was in alaska 3 years ago. its old new now, but it still is a big bear. not a record though

BUNK! This story has been passing around for two years now. The whole thing is all a bunch of Hoooey! I will look around and see if I can find the true story behind the bear. It's a nice bear but the legend has grown much bigger than the truth.
