My 15 year old son called in his first longbeard today. He's killed several birds and called in a few jakes, but today was the real deal. He did all the calling on a Knight&Hale split V diaphram. All I did was a little coaching. He brought him to 15 yards. About the bird 10 1/4" beard 1 1/8 spurs 22 1/4 pounds. He never wiggled after he cut loose on him with a 4x5x7 Nitro heavy shot out of a Benelli with a Rhino choke. This day was a very rewarding and memorable hunt for me, I hope it was the same for him. I wish for everyone to experience what I did today.

WTG!!!! I'm taking my Nephew out on NY's youth hunt later this month, on the 23rd & 24th of April!! I can't wait, he blew a chance on a gobbler last spring, and ended up taking a jake the next morning. Nice! My brother Got his first bird last year and he called it in by himself and made the kill That was his first time out.
Great Job on calling and making the kill!!!
