Scared one

I went with my uncle turkey hunting yesterday and we could hear a gobbler just going at calling as we were heading into our spot. So we were trying to follow his sound and we scared one off the roost just above our spot. He was gone and we never saw him again. We did keep hearing the other one and we called but, he never came in. We will be going back out soon and this time we will be watching the trees as well as listening to the gobbler's on the ground. Keep an eye out for those that are still on the roost.

I have spooked turkeys off the roost at 9 oclock before. ive heard of them roosting till 10 or 11 on foggy days. ill never figure out thses birds http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

If you could figure them out then it wouldn't be any fun to hun them. Those birds don't even know what they are going to do from one minute to the next, how are we? lol
