Here is my first muzzleloader buck...80 yards standing broadside looking for a fight...grunted him back in after he skittered...he scores 125 with a couple broken tines...I looked at his teeth last night and found out he was only 2 1/2...he was a scrapper though as you can tell by the hole on his nose...congrats to all, and good luck

Shot this buck November 30th, yesterday. It is an 8 pointer. 2 1/2 years old. He was trying to sneak behind me. He was almost crawling when I spotted him going through some tops. I was able to spin on him and make a 80 yard shot through my only opening. He dropped in his tracks.

I've seen blacktails get almost down on their bellies to sneak past me. They ussually bolt as soon as you look at them.

I dream of hunting Canada!! These deer are all Awesome!!!
LDB, Quite the hunting outfit, cold weather gear and Tennis shoes?!!!
Missed 160 - I figured I might have some explaining to do after I looked at the photo myself.
I was able to use runners during the hunting season because there was no snow on the ground. It was cold, but I have extra insoles in the shoes, and I was wearing 2 pairs of socks. They are much quieter for stalking/still-hunting. I wasn't sitting anywhere for any length of time, so my feet never got cold. As well, runners are much more comfortable on my feet when I am walking an average 10 miles per day in hilly areas.
