Everyone who thinks they can make it to the get-together in Alabama please sign up here. We are shooting for May 13th and 14th. We are still trying to pin down the location, but need to have an idea of how many can make it.
All other details will be posted later. Thanks!! http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

It really depends on where.I wish I could invite everyone here, but hubby won't go for it I don't reckon.LOL.I'm closer to Wheeler State Park than Guntersville. Can't beat either.....but one is closer and probably the same fishing, lodges, campgrounds, etc.I can't say for sure just yet,but I do beleive I might could. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Assuming this is May 13 & 14, 2006 I think I can make the trip. Already been to Gulf Shores so I know my way around the state pretty well.

Really depends on where. If it is Northern Alabama, I would say probably so for at least a day anyways.

Guntersville State Park is in NE Alabama. It looks like it's very nice and accomodating. Here's the link. You guys look at it and tell me what you think!!

LISTEN UP!!!
Guntersville state park has asked if we would be needing to rent cabins or camping areas??? I know this is not scheduled to happen until May....but we just kinda need an idea of who would be staying at the park and who would be staying in hotels.
Camping sites for rv's are gonna run around $20 a night. ( Full hook-ups)
Cabins are around $110 a night for 1-6 people.

It's been quite a while since we have talked about this..........how many are still interested?
It's supposed to happen in May.
I know a few of us are going to the elk hunt in Colorado and I understand completely if that wipes out the Bama trip for you.
Just need an idea of who still wants to do this.
Thanks.

I just realized...May 14th is Mother's Day. Is the weekend of May 13th & 14th still good for everyone or would the following weekend of the 20th & 21st be better? Personally the 20th & 21st would work better for me but I will go with the consensus.
Andrea

That weekend sounds great. Didn't realize Mother's Day was that weekend. We can change it to the next weekend if everyone thinks that's okay.
