Feel good about this season! I've been watching some really nice bucks, mostly 10 pointers, but there are a couple 12's walking around, and a 14, but he has not been seen during the day time. Good luck to all, BTW, are we naming the team? Any ideas?

Hey Guys, sorry I haven't checked in sooner, been busy with school and work and everything else that seems to pop up. The season is under way here in NC although right now there are a few days left in the 4 week bow season. Since I neglected to get a new bow earlier this year my first day hunting will be next Monday for the one week ML season, hopefully I'll score early with the ML, I haven't taken anything with my ML yet so I am hoping for a bigun. Regular gun season starts the 15th and ends January 2. I had to take a vacation day from work to go on opening day. I plan on using that vacation day all day. Good luck to everyone on the team.

Well, no luck this AM, I did see 3 deer so it wasn't a total loss, usually the only deer I see out there are the ones I shoot, so, I am looking towards a productive season hopefully if it will be like this. This saturday is opening day for gun season, a lot of people out there to keep the deer on their toes. I found a tree over where I saw two deer come out this AM from a tree I was sitting in about 100 yards away, hopefully they decide to mosey on back through Saturday morn, cuz I'll be waitin for them.

I sure hope it helps. I've been hunting at least 3 days a week since September 15th and the only deer I have even seen (not counting while driving to and from hunting) was one fork horn opening morning. The deer just will not come out of this one corn field until after dark.
The other place I hunt they had a family reunion the day before I went to hunt and people were running around all over the place. The next weekend I went and the day before they let a bunch of people come in and cut firewood. Although usually firewood cutting doesn't seem to bother these deer. I almost forgot. There is at least one big buck on each of the two places I hunt. One I have seen twice but not while hunting. The other my brother saw him where I normally hunt during gun season.

Just wanted to let you guys know that Wild_Bill is still working at it. Our late Buck season starts tomorrow through the 19th. We've been getting into the deer but he just hasn't been able to close the deal. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get at least a 4X4. I'm here all the time but he never is. I just wanted to let you know whats going on as we hunt together every weekend.

Well my season is over i took two 5 pointers 1 doe and a button buck, It was a great season now my freezer is working at maximum capacity!!

I am heading out Wednesday morning, hopefully will finally score, my buddy went out this morning and had 5 does walk by his stand, hopefully they'll come by my stand Wednesday with big daddy following behind.

No luck this weekend.....shot at an 8 that was chasing a doe. Hard to hit one of those things on a dead run through the woods. Only shot at him once when he went through a shooting lane. Good news is we still have over 2 weeks to hunt here.

Well, figured I'd come on here and post an update. No luck for me so far this year. I went out a couple weeks ago, first time all season I hadn't seen a deer out there, stayed out all day and didn't see anything, of course, it was like 80+ degrees. The weather has been bacn and forth here in NC. I went out yesterday in the rain, I didn't plan on hunting much because it had been raining all day, was just planning on locking my stand to the tree for Wednesday morning, by the time I got out there it had stopped raining so I figured I'd hang out a couple hours, didn't see anything in the 3 hours I was out there. Got my stand locked down for Wednesday morn so I don't have to fiddle with it in the AM, just go out there and climb up, it's supposed to be 29 degrees overnight tonight, so hopefully with the cold weather, the rut in full swing, and my b-day being tomorrow, I'll light up a biggun. I have a doe in the cooler...i'll use it as a last resort...saw several good bucks but still waiting for a wall hanger.....got 3 bucks on video that will score over 125......I'll keep yall posted....
