Hi Team. Ok, we need a cool name,lol. Archery starts October 15 for me, but I'll miss the first day or two because I'll be in the Adirondacks. Shotgun starts Mid-November than a late Archery season in December. Can't wait! Let's kick some butt!

Sup team! Went scouting last weekend found very little signs but its still early. This will be the 2nd year Ive hunted this farm and killed a 9 pointer last year. Only buck I seen, seen many does so at worse I should be good for a doe. Sounds like a fun trip. Nebraska has some giants, and I'm pretty sure out of state deer count for the contest too.

I'm in southwest Indiana, a little over an hour west of Louisville. I live about 5 miles north of the Ferdinand exit (exit 63) on I-64.

yessss finally found it haha well im 14 so i spose u might not wana get yer hopes up on a biggen but last week i went on my youth hunt passed up 5 by 5 muleys... seen a 6 by 6 and at 100 yards standin when i pulled the trigger i heard "click" i thought i was in a nightmare... but i was real... so he got away... but ive been seeing a 6 by 7 round my stand and hope to get him with my bow or a big muley... and whats the (Y) mean by my name? does it mean youth or?

Took a Button Buck Oct 15th (muzzleloader) and the picture has been posted for credit. Also seen a spike and 4 does. Found a nice scrape so hopeing for a decent buck come gun season. I heard him grunting chasing a doe but couldnt get a good look at him, it was too dark. I dont think it was the spike I seen eailer that day. Hoping anyway.

Congrats and way to go! I was only able to hunt Sat. morning and Sunday evening. Saw a doe and fawn yesterday evening but no clear shot. The farm I hunted this weekend is tore up with scrapes and rubs. Looks good for the rut as long as some older bucks come by.

Our Gun season is Nov 11th-21st. Im good for another Doe or should be at worse. Just depends how long I can hold out passing on Does now hopeing to see a nice Buck!

Yeah with both Don's and Ruth's does we'd have 20 points, which would put us up there toward the top for the time being. It's going to be a long season yet though with the whole rut to go.

I saw close to 15 deer Sat. morning, 2 bucks, the rest does and fawns. I passed several shots at does waiting for a mature buck but no dice.

I had the biggest buck I've ever seen from ym stand walk right under it Saturday morning but he spooked when I drew my bow back! He is stuck in my mind for sure. I will be trying to get him!

Just wanted to let you guys know that Wild_Bill is still working at it. Our late Buck season starts tomorrow through the 19th. We've been getting into the deer but he just hasn't been able to close the deal. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get at least a 4X4. I'm here all the time but he never is. I just wanted to let you know whats going on as we hunt together every weekend.

well... this mornin me my friend and his little brother went out to a feild and were walkin out in it and we seen some weird lookin dark thing in the field... so the first mess up was we forgot the binocs... so we waited to see and it started coming towards us... DEER! we all didnt move... i tell him not to move cuz hes infront of me so i put the gun up to the side of him with the scope to see what it was because we had buck and a doe tag... i see horns... BIG BUCK! i say he picks his gun up i say wait wait... it looks like a little 2x3 i said? he says dude i dont care ima shoot it... i say hang on wait til he turns his head... instead of that he comes closer? at about 50 yards he turns his head... was either a 3x3 or 4x4 couldn tell but i told him not to shoot cuz it wasnt to big but of course now i wish he would have shot... so we got bumbed out there... than we are driving to a spot to walk and outa the corner of my eye in the ditch i see somethin runnin right next to the pickup in the shelter belt? HUGE BUCK! massive 5x5 runnin 20 yards from the truck... so we kept up with him tryin to see what he was gona do finaly he ran into the field... we slam on the brakes we both jump outa the pickup and run into the shelter belt to get on the other side and shoot... well of course... bucks dont get that big by being dump... he ran into a field with grass taller than me... that was about the day there but all in all we seen a few bucks 1 nice one and we also got some shots at 3 does when we were walkin but didnt get 1...

Got a Wild_Bill update. He passed on four small bucks today the largest was a 2X3. He'll get one I'm sure. Were going pheasant hunting tomorrow but hes bringing the rifle J.I.C.

He'll be going back up sunday where he saw the small ones and he has until next sat to close the deal.

I passed on 2 nice size does waiting for a nice buck but never showed. The temp this week got to 70 degrees both sat & sun. Hunted in a tee shirt both evenings. Im not sure if the rut has went and gone or there not in rut yet. Seen two nice scraps during eailer muzzeloader didnt see any near my stand. I'll try again next weekend, I wish I had more time to scout however. The temp is suppose to drop alot by next weekend and hope it helps.

I had the same story TurkeyHunter. Too warm plus full moon equals moving at night. The rut is in, but not as active because of the heat. With cooler temps coming this week, next weekend should be much better.

I saw 2 small bucks Sat. morning and 2 unidentifiable deer yesterday afternoon. Very frustrating weekend.
