Hey team... just wanted to getthis party started!! http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif It's 4:30 am here, and i'm just on my way out for a morning hunt before work. Is anyone else here hunting already? When does your season open if you're not?
Other thing we need to consider is a name.
I get started Friday. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Team 21....hmmm...maybe something to do with blackjack.
team 21 eh
I am looking forward to this guys...I was not apart of it last year.so I guess I am the rookie.
hey finn I like the blackjack thing!
some thing like "The Double Downs" or "Aces Wild"
some thing like that.
I see most of the other teams intro them selves to each other so here is some stuff about me:
My name is JOE,I work in a nylon plant that makes mostly carpet yarn,36 years old married for 7 years and have 2 little girls 1 and almost 4.
last year I shot a 139 3/8 9 point on opening night.the year before I shot a 124 8 point on opening night.....we open this Sat. hope I can keep the streak going.
also I live on an Island in Ont,Canada.very close to the NY border.
good luck guys lets bring home first place!!!!

My season starts Saturday for Archery and gun season starts November 15th. Hope to have my buck well before gun season though!! http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
My name is Lou and I am from Michigan. I work in the auto industry, big surprise being from Michigan! LOL!! I have been married for 6 years and have a 1 year old little girl at home who in 10 years or so will be my hunting buddy (if mom lets her).
Besides hunting I like to golf and work on a stock car race team. Do pit work and maintain the teams website and work with sponsors.
Basically I like the outdoors and seeing nature's critters both big and small. Looks like I am on a great team and wish you all luck.
I agree we do need to think of a team name so I will try to think of something.
PM me anytime guys if you have questions.
Lou
My name is Dan and I'm from Saskatchewan. I am a hunter who works as an accountant. I can't decide which I enjoy more - deer hunting or shed-antler hunting. I've had good luck tagging big bucks since I started focusing more on larger deer back in 2000.
I've taken the next 2 weeks off from work to bowhunt for muleys, muzzleload for whitetails, and upland hunt with my English Setter, Rosy. I should have lots of stories to tell a couple weeks from now if nothing else.
I've been out twice this year and blown 2 stalks on big muley bucks. One blown stalk wasn't my fault - I just ran out of legal hunting time. The other one was my fault because I failed to consider that the buck might reposition himself during the 45 minutes I was sneaking around the backside of a ridge. I ended up stalking within 15 yards of him, but unfortunately I didn't know I was 15 yards from him until he took off. He had tines everywhere and would probably have scored over 200 (although he was still in velvet so he might have looked 10-15 inches bigger). He's the largest buck I've seen out there in the last 3 years. Hopefully I can find him again.

Hey team 21,
I'm new at this, but not new at bowhunting. My name is Joe, and I'm a college student from PA. Saturday is the opening day here. I've been seeing a lot of nice bucks, hopefully I will get one.
This is my first hunting season is 3 years, due to a 2 year tour in Iraq. So, I'm really pumped up about this and will this contest, just add's a little more excitement into this year. And I just got a new mathews switchback. Well good luck to all of you. That's bring home the win.
hey JPGS22....2 joe's on the team should be a good thing....switchback eh....I hear it a great bow...go get the big one for the team.
Hi Guys,
I live in Illinois just west of Chicago and bowhunt in Northern Wisconsin on my family's land. I've been married for 18 years with 2 kids, girl is 15 and my boy is 12. Been in the Air Force for 21 years and look forward to retiring in the next couple years. Recruit Doctors and other medical professionals right now.
Will start my hunting year tomorrow and just hoping for a little good luck. Haven't shot bucks the past 2 years but have passed up several decent 8 pointers. Won't let them go this year in December to help the team out. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Good luck to everyone and look forward to swapping stories with you all. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Personally I think it is jinxing ourselves to have the word buck in our name. Last year the team I was on was called the Buck wackers, or something like that. 8 out of 10 of us posted deer which was awesome. No other team had more then 8 deer posted, and only one other team got 8. But, only 3 of the deer posted for our team ended up being bucks, and the rest were does. Not that there is anything wrong with shooting does at all, I don't hesitate. Just not gonna win a contestl ike this that way.
That being said, whatever the majority decides, I'll go along with, I really don't care, as long as at the end they call us "THE WINNERS"!!!!!!!!

"Black Jacks" is fine with me.
I sometimes hunt out of a black jack tree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Well the temps are finally going to get down into the 40s and 50s the next few days. So if my son and I can get a shot a doe on our food plot we will try to add some points to the board. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Black Jacks sounds o.k. to me. Reminds me of that saying, "jack of all trades, master of one" That probably would fit our team!!
Temperatures here in Michigan are going to drop by tomorrow. Been 85 degrees most of the week and that is unreal for October. That's golf weather!!

Getting closer and closer. I saw 2 bucks and a doe yesterday morning. They all were in shooting range just not shootable. Too many trees in the way. One buck was a really nice 8 point, about a 120 inch and the other had a really tall spike on his right side, couldn't see the other side.
Were going back out in about 30 min. Good luck to y'all this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Need2hunt need to change out name in the standings though, then he will change it in this thread. I thought he wanted us all to keep our comments in one thread. I could be mistaken though.

I went out Saturday and seen lots of does and a few spikes. I was surprised, already seeing scrapes which is cool because I am set up near them. Going to put the trail camera out on a couple of them and see whats out there. Seen some small pines trees rubbed up pretty good too, that was cool to see as well.
Weather changed and its cool and the deer seem to be moving good, wind is a bit much at times but it tends to die down in the evening. Going out tonight after work, good luck guys!!
