San Francisco Postpones Gun Ban
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - The city of San Francisco announced last week that it's agreed to temporarily postpone the enforcement of its recently established ban on the sale and manufacture of firearms.
The city's handgun ban will now not take effect until April 1. A hearing date on a motion to invalidate the ban is tentatively set for February 15 in San Francisco Superior Court. The National Rifle Association and other sportsmen's groups had filed a lawsuit in the California Court of Appeals in November, but the court ruled the suit must first be heard by the Superior Court.
