This from the BBC:

[ QUOTE ]
Demonstrators shouted "death to Denmark" and "death to France", and called for diplomats and soldiers from both countries to be kicked out of Afghanistan.

Both France and Denmark sent troops to Afghanistan as part of international efforts in the US-led "war on terror".

"They want to test our feelings," protester Mawli Abdul Qahar Abu Israra told the BBC.

"They want to know whether Muslims are extremists or not. Death to them and to their newspapers," he said.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, I guess that answers that question!

It's good to see that they are tolerant of other peoples beliefs when it comes to their religion. Do you think they would like it if we followed suit in the US?

I liked them. I guess it goes back to the double standards again. They can chop off heads but don't dare make a cartoon about them http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I'm really glad that they're a tolerant, peaceful religion. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Muslims apparently riot and kill people over negative depictions of their spiritual leader/savior. Americans riot and kill people when their favorite sports team wins or loses a championship game...not to mention death threats for errant referees or players they feel cost them the game. Does this show where Americans priorities lie?

Any way you look at it, both reactions are wrong.

Ah, but the difference lies in the reaction of those vast majorities of Americans who did not riot. We immediately and publicly condemn the actions of those who did and we take measures to prevent that sort of thing from happening again in the future. We do not have our religious and political leaders urging the rioters on to martyrdom.

But there are muslim's who are decrying the violence of the minority of muslims just like there were those who decried the actions of the radical muslim minority who caused 9/11.

Yes Slugshooter, some Muslims decry the violence of the terrorists, however the majority of the clergy in fundamental islam supports it. that is the true difference. Anyone who claims Isalm is a peaceful religion is deluded, all you have to do is read their Kuran. and the teachings of Muhamad, they are full of revenge and death to infidels.

Islam is the only religion I know that formaly states if you convert to any other religion from Islam you are to be given 3 oportunities to repent and return to Islam. If you refuse you are executed. Sounds realy peaceful and tolerant to me... http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
