Darn straight I am. But I've been Saved By the Blood of the lamb, and I pray that you have been or soon will be.
But I don't think this tread will top 200. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It all starts with 1. I don't think you're a bad guy John. Even if you do want to watch me flog myself. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

There is nothing good about me, and I got stories to prove it.
Thank God for his Grace in my life, afforded to me through Jesus Christ, each and every day, as I try my best to walk with him.

You see, that attitude right there just perpetuates the negative stereotype against Americans that we are voyeuristic sensationalists who like nothing more than watching violence. We are all baddddddddd. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I was in a revival one and the preacher said something that completely shocked me, but makes a lot of sence.
"If sin weren't fun nobody would want to do it".
The flesh is weak, I'm glad the Holy Spirit holds me back. I only wish I didn't pull free sometimes.

Got this in an email today. Not Angelou's biggest fan, but what she says here is worth reading. Enjoy...
Christians
By Maya Angelou
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin".
I'm whispering "I was lost,
Now I'm found and forgiven."
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I don't speak of this with pride.
I'm confessing that I stumble
and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not trying to be strong.
I'm professing that I'm weak
And need His strength to carry on.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not bragging of success.
I'm admitting I have failed
And need God to clean my mess.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not claiming to be perfect,
My flaws are far too visible
But, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I still feel the sting of pain.
I have my share of heartaches
So I call upon His name.
When I say... "I am a Christian"
I'm not holier than thou,
I'm just a simple sinner
Who received God's good grace, somehow!
Share this with somebody who already has this understanding, as
reinforcement. But more importantly, share this with those who do not
have a clear understanding of what it means to be a Christian, so
that the myth that Christians think they are "perfect" or "better than
others" can be dispelled.

What a great response slayer.
I've heard many a' paster say that if you are not being temped on a regular basis you probibly aren't living for the Lord.
Reason-
Who temts us? - The evil one
Why? - To ruin our testimony to the world or keep us from the Lord......along with to many others to mention.

I know what you mean. I personally met Maya Angelou at our hospital several years ago - she was unbelievably and blatantly rude to me and several of my colleagues. Perhaps she was having a bad day???

I would love to hear the total explanation on this one.

Seeing as how we are all sinners, I would tend to agree with nightslayer to a certain extent.
Dont think John, that because we are all sinners that we are "bad people". Dont think anywhere in the Bible that God has given the message that we should be down on ourselves or feel as though we are bad because as man we are destined to sin.

Read the initial post and some replies in the thread I think you are referring to, and figured it was a waste of time replying.
