hows about
turkey quest winners, or
el winnero de contesto.lol
on a serious note:
The Dead Birds (we could be the sleeper team, no one expects anything of us from that name, then we go out and whoop 'em)
The 5th toes(spurs)
Gobble Gobble BOOM
Gobble Gobble GONE
ok, don't laugh, that is the best I can come up with for names. Tryin to get something original, rather than the gobblerstoppers or other names that seem to come up every year.

My season starts April 26th. Thats a wednesday, then theres 3 weekends of season for me to hunt. Hopefully I'll be able to drop a nice longbeard this season. I will probably pass on jakes, since I've already killed one, I will hold out for something a little bigger.

Got some news today, that might not be good. The place my dad is workin right now is about to have a shut-down, which means he will be doing a lot of overtime, and weekend working for a few weeks. This well be right during turkey season, so I may not get the chance to do much of it. On a good note, my grandparents live just a few mins away from where I hunt, and i'm sure I could go spend the weekend with them, and have 'em take me out in the morning. And that would also gimme the oppurtunity to put some birds to sleep, which I've never had an oppurtunity to do. I dunno for sure what will happen, but I will keep you all informed. I did buy some new Fed. turkey loads with the new wad, I will be hopefully tryin those out this weekend, to see if they are any better than my HV winchesters that I used last season.

Well the birds are finally starting to wake up real good here. A couple weeks ago they were gobbling like mad (one morning) Ihave been out 10 times since and have heard nothing until yesterday, and today. They were gobbling hard at crows all morning both days. Season is coming soon!

1 1/2 weeks left for me here. I drove around the property i will be hunting a few days ago. Apperently, since last year, they built a big gravel road through most of the land. I was really dissapointed at first, but it shouldn't be in the way much. Most of it is all through fields that I don't hunt anyway(jus overgrown brush everywhere) We saw a few birds, I'm pretty sure 1 or 2 were toms, and I did here a gobble. I also got some more land that I will be able to hunt, but we have never been out there, so who knows what will happen with that. There is 80 acres of land, and that guys brother owns another 200 right next to it, so thats 280 acres we could hunt, plus all the other land around it is just old strip mined land, so we could do some huntin on that too.

sorry guys, today was the last day of the season for me, and I came home emptyhanded. I was sittin on the edge of a field most the day, and there was 1 nice gobbler out in it, but he stayed over 150 yards away the whole time. When we were drivin out, we saw a hen next to the road that already had a buncha poults with her, guess that sorta explains why the gobblers never paid attention to calls.

Anyone still hunting? With one more bird we would be in the lead, unless its really small. By my calculations we are only 24.5 points out of the lead!! Come on somebody, score one more for the Jellyheads!!
