This is a really odd guestion but, what does this mean and where did you guys come up with this.

I used to play junior hockey and all the canucks would call us yankees hoser, all game long. It was hillarious, I was never offended it just made me laugh. It's an awesome taunt, but what does it mean.

The only other time I've heard it was in Strange Brew. did the MacKenzie brothers start it?

Not sure where it started, but i use it all teh time. Like you said, it isn't meant as a big insult, more like for ribbing someone. Maybe someone a bit older can give us the origin.

Yeah, it was Bob and Doug Mackenzie. They started it on SCTV.
Ha, that's funny stuff. I still get a kick out of their 12 days of Xmas song.

Yup, Bob and Doug McKenzie started it on SCTV in their "Great White North" parody of us Canucks. I`ve even heard of a rumour of a "Strange Brew2" movie in the works.

i'm a firefighter in the southern U.S., and when we call the cops porkers, (jokingly of course), they call us hosers!
