i have shot right handed guns left handed sence i was a kid the shell will eject right past his eye i have never been hit except for an m-16 when i was in the army the pump guns seem to be better for left handed shooters then autos it would be better to get a left handed gun but you can shoot a right handed gun safely if it was me i would try a pump or a single shot jmo

I have shot right handed guns left handed my whole life also and never had a problem, in fact, I never really notice the shell ejecting.

Let me clarify, have been shooting right handed pumps left handed. Which brings me to another question, since us left handed shooters actually pump the gun with our right hand, wouldn't that qualify us as more of a right handed shooted, I mean, the bulk of the gun is being supported with our right arm ,the only thing we do lefty is look down the barrel and pull the trigger. A scoped rifle though I shoot righty, go figure.

I have always shot a right handed gun, even though I am left handed. I have shot an 1100 for over 6 years now without a problem. I started with a pump when I was 9 and then I got a semi 1100 when I was 14, and have never had a problem with the shell even getting in my field of view.

I have done just the opposite, I am right handed and have shot left handed guns. I tried a friends 1100 Trap gun that was left handed and I was able to shoot it decently. The empties did not hit me but fly across. If the shooter is shooting correctly, (looking at the target and not the gun) it should not matter.

On some of the higher grade o/u guns, the stocks are right or left handed. The cast off and toe position are different. In that case, it does make a difference, but with a cheapie Rem, they should be about the same.

I'm a leftie always shooting Rem. semi's . 1100 and 11-87's. They only issue I ever ran across was duck hunting, and sometimes the wind would cover my face black from unspent powder http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I bought a lefthanded 1100 once but after so many years couldn't get used to the safety,(although I now understand that can be reversed) LOL

Welcome to the forums!!!

There is the Browning BPS shotgun! I believe they eject the spent shell out the bottom!!! I often heard lefties saying thats a better gun for them!
