Well the local big time farmer has been chopping alfalfa this weekend and he had his machinery parker a road down from my house so here are some photos of the machinry and you'll get a peek at the lay of the land around near my house.
This is from the road

In this photo, if you look to the right of the exhaust pipe on the tractor, you can kind of see a dark green which is corn and that is part of our land. We let the farmer who lets us hunt his land plant corn on it. And just to the very right of the pipe, between the pipe and the corn you can see some trees which is a corner of our woods. The other fields around though are owned by the guy who owns these tractors and he doesn't let anyone hunt his land which is too bad.

If you would like I can go pop off some pics of the inside of some deere and case. Have 1 umbella top left also. I will try and get them when I go see my in-laws. They are wheat farmers and have about everything built I think.

Some really pretty land there. Nice equipment too. Your neighbor has got a lot of money tied up right there.

Yeah, this guy is actually partnered with another guy and his main farm is about 20 minutes from where we live and has built these small cow barns all over the place and pretty much owns like 1/2 the land here in the county from my opinion, lol. He has some great 4WD tractors also. One time a couple years back, he left a tractor sitting up in the one field behind our woods. My mom and I took a walk and I looked in the tractor, the door was unlocked and the keys were in it, lol!!!

Only one I see there Ruth that is not 4wd or fwa is the 7620 pulling what looks like a haybine.

Too bad he wont let you hunt his land. Again, some really pretty country there.

william, that is a windrow merger, it looks to be a double merger, meaning it puts two rows into one, and it also looks to have an extension on it, so he'd have three into one.......that self propelled 6850 can handle three with ease!! They must be filling bunkers as they have dump wagons....AHHHHHHHHH...I can just smell the fresh chopped alfalfa...LOL

Ruth, you need to take a trip out here and look at some HUGE equipment! Not only farming but logging also!

Great pictures!

That guy who owns them, has a lot of $$$$$ tied up in equipment!

I think it's a merger. But yeah, I don't see why they need all those 4wd tractors to pull around dump boxes.. Probably the only ones they had available..

Awesome pictures Turkey Girl, do you have any pics of them in action? Do they have semis or dump trucks waiting on the road or do they just bring the dump wagons straight to the farm?

Thanks for sharing!
