Ontario black bear 825 pounds found dead!

In the most recent issue of Ontario Out of Doors (Oct/Nov)magazine they are reporting that a dead black bear was found at the Fort Francis dump. The bear weighed in at 825 lbs, and was 7.42 feet in length! Too bad a hunter couldn't have put their tag on that bad boy!

Wow! that probably would have been an Ontario record if someone shot it! Biggest I've saw is 430lbs dressed. My uncle is an outfitter for bears and some guy from Ohio got that last year. That thing was enormous, couldn't imagine one that weighed 825!! http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I know it was huge!!! I've seen a few black bears from time to time, I couldn't even imagine how big this guy was!!!!

thats a monster.. A couple years back, about an hour northeast of Winnipeg,someone hit a Black Bear that weighed 896LBS. I seen pictures of it at the archery ranged i used to go to, it was about as big as the car that hit it,lol..

i live in fort frances and my dad runs the dump i have seen that bear lots wish i could of shot it.
