I've only ran into the warden here, while hunting, 3 times in 26 years. I've seen his truck go by in town a few times, but that's it.

Things are getting so bad, backstraps are being removed from roadkill. Gotta nail em buggers!

I was stopped once, on a day I was not hunting, just happened to be wearing an orange bunny hug from the high school. It's a shame, no wonder so many guys are shooting 2 bucks in zone 55, they'll never get caught!! So sad.

I hunted a lot this fall too, about 25 days in total, never got stopped, but I seen one coming down the gravel road so I turned and gave it gas. Not that I was doing anything illegal just that no one wants to get stopped by them.

No one wants to get stopped by them? I always like to talk to them and get as much info from them as possible. If you can't scout every day or are from another area, what better way to find out which side of the river the geese have been flying, what area the most deer hunters are crowding into, or whose having problems with elk on their land and wants some hunters to come and get them. Unless the c.o. is a jerk (and most are not) they'll tell you. It's always interesting to find out if they checked any "big ones" shot this season. I have not seen any this year either and I spent about 25 days afield.

Its more like interrogatinmg you where the big ones are as most of them hunt too. A couple got caught sneaking onto some private land up here a few years back and shooting a monster 5x5. Used the old 'we didn't see the sign defence'. The landowner let them go as he didn't want the hassle or harassment of pressing it any furthur. Like Saskman says they aren't doing a very good job of catching the poachers up here.

This year, didn't see any.
1 year ago, didn't see any.
2 Years ago, didn't see any.
3 Years ago, didnt see any.
Theres a pattern happening, and its not good for wildlife conservation.
