Most, if not all film processors charge a flat fee, about $1.50 to process a roll of film, and then charge you for each photo printed. I wouldn't use less than a 24 exps roll for fear of missing the "Big One" on the 13th frame. Gues it could be the 25th frame though. LOL Although there is some savings in purchasing a 12exp instead of a 24 or 36, I think the money saved is modest. Try an off brand of film such as Agfa or 3M, or any of the photo fininshing biz proprietary brands, In most cases the private label is film is just hort dated Kodak or Fuji. Short dated film is film that has been in a warehouse too long and is close to the expiration date. It's sold to small biz' as their private label. Tere is nothing wrong with it, or even film thta is a month or so out of date.

jimt, if you want to hurry things along use a 24 exposure roll of film and set your cam for two pictures. I don't know why but I am getting 27 pictures from a roll of film.
