Nice, that is a thick one. At 48" you would be looking at teh high 20's based on tha apparent girth.

A friend caught a 47" northern that went 27 pounds around here. And, that fish of yours is quite a bit bigger in the gut, and aparantly across the back too.
I'd say she's pushin the 30 pound mark, easily.
Very nice catch.
