I stumbled on an intresting tool yesterday. I down loaded (for free) Google Earth a satellite map site. I was amazed at what was visible. One of the best features that I like is being able to rotate the screen any way you want. You can look over your favorite rigdes and valleys in 3D. It shows lat and lon numbers for every mouse movement. I have aready found locations at my N.Y. hunting spots that you would never know was there from a topo map. It sure has made my weekend more intresting.

Google earth is great however I find most places where I hunt the area is all blurred up, like near cities etc. Is there anyway you can take this blurred section out or do they have this on there for other reasons.

Same here, our google earth maps are not quite as clear as the old outdated terraserver map when you zoom in.

I've used GE for turkey and deer scouting for a couple of years now, and I too love it.
The good news RE big brother is that the imagery is not "live", rather it's delayed, often months.
Of course, Big Brother has live spy satellites, so if you're up to something in the turkey woods, I'd suggest doing it under tree cover... http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
