I will confess I messed up this year

well ....girls....i had a chance at a really nice 10 pointer....i was hunting on a friends property they own about 300 acres . i was hunting out of a hutch that the owner had made this year....i didn't like the setup soon as i got myself inside the hutch....he had a folding lawn chair to sit in.......when you sat in the chair the peep window was to high....i just knew i would have problems when it was time to shoot...well i heard a crashing and caught a glimps of a doe and right on her trail was a nice big buck...the time i got in position to shoot they were gone....out of sight...it happened so fast. thats the only buck i saw this hunting season.

now that stinks. next time take a pillow with you to place on the chair so you sit up a little higher. it is also a little more comfy on the rump.

I have to agree...you didn't mess up. I can't count the number of "if I only sat here, if I waited just another 5 minutes, ect." hunting stories I have heard (and told a few myself!LOL). Besides, I have seen your deer pictures, so I know you can hunt!

Indeed... I don't know how many times I have been walking into a stand location and pushed deer out, only to think to myself... "man, you knew you should have gotten out 10 minutes earlier", it's all about learning, and it never stops. You'll have better luck next year.
