Well my son Clole and I went out this last weekend for OK's first youth season and it didn't go so well. The first morning we had a hen about 5 feet from our blind put on a good show trying to fight one of our decoys. But only heard one gobble all day. The next day we set up early in an area I know holds alot of turkeys and only heard a few hens and flushed a young jake out of a brush pile. And later that afternoon we saw 2 hens while hunting in a GMA. And still no gobbling birds.
All in all we still had a good time and got out in the woods earlier than usual.
Hopefully they will be fired up friday morning for our regular season opener.

Dwin, friend of mine took his son out this weekend and they didn't have much luck either. I've got alot of birds sounding off behind my house, but they will proable be quit come Friday. My sons daycare is closed for Good Friday so I offered to stay home home with him that day http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Its gonna be hard chasin those birds with a 2 year old with a cast, but we are gonna give it a shot, and Wesleys word for the week is Turkey http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif he is ready to go too http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
