My Dad decided to go hunting this weekend with a friend from church. Dan had never hunted turkeys and was interested. They called this sixteen lbs, eight and a half inch turkey in. They got to see something I have never seen. There were four toms together, when Dan shot this one the other three thought he was covering a hen and jumped on him to get a piece of the action. Needless to say Dan and my Dad were excited. This is Dan's first to shoot, and my Dad's first to call by himself. He set up behind Dan and worked some magic. The weather was cold(in the forties) but my Dad said they were really fired up, they even came with two hens in tow. Hope you guys enjoy the pic.

Well guys, I made a mistake. My I talked to my dad yesterday and he told me it wasn't an 8 1/2" beard it was a 9 1/2 beard. And the guy sported 3/4" spurs. Not bad for a first bird. Thanks for the comments.
