ive found one gun that we use effetive and i like to use it, a 17mm. works great, its bullet are basically a 22 bullet with a pointed itp on it and if you wanna bait em, a really good technique is whenever you shoot a rabbit, squiierel, deer, or anything save their buts and stuff, just take em, sat em down like 20-25 yards down wind of ya and use a wounded rabbit distress call, at least thats what ive found most effective

You may want to check your local regs on baiting coyotes. It certainly isn't legal everywhere. Also, while a .17hmr (17 hundreths of an inch, read caliber) is definately light for coyotes, a 17mm is definately a little on the heavy side, (.67 caliber). However, I am sure it would do well on those armored yotes, if your local laws allow taking coyotes with experimental millitary rounds. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif BTW you may want to verify the information you find on these forums with some of you huntin' buddies. Your deer rifle or shotgun is a good option if you aren't hunting for pelts. Good luck!
