Turkeys

Had some turkeys in the yard this morning early for the second time. They were in the yard yesturday for the first time, but we were not home. Pretty cool. You know if they do stick around until spring, you won't get picked for a turkey tag! LOL I see them ALL over the place now....I think it is time Maine starts thinking about an open season on them.

You can apply for the online lottery for turkey permits right now, so maybe they will be doing it in 2006? I hadn't heard anything about it, but there are so many of them now, that it is a good time to start!

i had 10 in the yard the other day ....seems that when it snows and foods harder to get they get braver.....

Get a few turkeys in the yard here from time to time. They hide real good come spring though.
