OK...so now I am hooked on bear hunting...what does Ontario offer for bears? Is an outfitter required or can I come up and hunt with a fellow canadian?? How does it work?
Thanks

Fall hunting only, I would recommend a guide in order to have all the leg work done for ya, and therefore better chance of success! However all you really need is the tags and come on up! Might be able to get a nice early moose and bear combo!

British Columbia has both Spring and Fall bear hunts :D

Yeah Joe I sure hope they get it back. Bears are all over here, getting into garbage and even getting into the shed where my uncle keeps his bait (Tim Horton's donuts :D) I don't know how many times they've ripped the door off the thing yet this year. Many though. You can't really blame them, that'd be just like a 5 star smorgusbourg right there for them. :D
Ken, the coats are still very nice in the fall. ;)

Yup I agree the coats are still very nice in the fall! See a couple of bears around my house every now and then, and they seem to be getting braver all the time. I hope they re-instate the spring bear hunt soon!!!!!!
