Well I guess Ill get this party started, Im Brad, Im 23 and I hunt in Wisconsin with bow, rifle and muzzleloader and possibly shotgun and pistol if the opportunity presents itself. My bow season has started and I already hold one of the coveted buck tags (its earn a buck this year) for an antlerless deer I got last year. So Im primarily after a decent buck right now, but a doe shouldnt prsent her vitals to me or I will have to let a montec eat! Where is everyone else from, and lets get to know each other a little better. We probly should also come up with a name for our team.

I see some new blood this year...Thats good

For you guys that don't know me, My name is Ken I live in the Great State of Texas.. Live around the Dallas area and Hunt in Central Texas... Age?? You would need to cut me in half and count the rings..

This should be a good year for me....3rd year with antler restrictions... low hunting pressure around me...And best of all we are out of the Texas drought we have been in for the last 6 years...Everything is lush and the deer are fat..

Bow Season opens for me Sept 29th...I will be in the woods 95 degrees and all..

Brad6639

I'm finally able to check-in here.

I'm Jason from Illinois and I'm 26. I'll be out in the woods with bow, shotgun, and muzzleloader this season. Archery season starts October 1st. We've got some Cuddeback pics of some good bucks, so hopefully I'll be lucky enough to tag one, if not, I'll get us on the board with a doe.

Hey team, just checking in! Deer season isn't looking too good around my area. We have what the locals call blue tongue really bad this year. In some farms they have found up to 30 dead deer. Haven't seen my bucks in the past couple of weeks either. Bow season came in the first of Sept. but I won't really get into it until it cools down in Oct. I'll leave the name up to you guys.

Im trying to put us on the board, I shot a doe last night but had to back out because I think I gutshot her, so Im heading out here in a few minutes to go get her. It poured last night so its going to be a hardtracking job I think.

My Bow opening weekend was a bust...We have been in drought conditions for 6 years here... We had a great spring rain fall..Drought is over.. And the Ragweed & Goldenrod are in full bloom...My allergies are killing me..I could not hunt more than 2 hours in the mornings and less than that in the afternoon..Took 4 Claritin in under 12 hours..Still no help..

I have a call into the Doc to go in for some shots or something..If he cant help me...I'm out for the rest of bow season..Pointless to sit in the woods snotting and sneezing, coughing eyes watering.... Arggg...I hate this..

Brad6639
10-01-2007, 07:45 PM
I hear ya, I had that same thing happening to me all summer and its still going on. It typically only happens when Im at work, I think its the pour ventalation. Im on about every allergy med that has ever been made. I have to have one of those tests done where they expose you to tons of allergies and see what bothers you, and they said ill more than likely be on shots each week soon. Ive missed a ton of work because of this, it does no good when your in customer service to be sniffling and sneezing and runny nose and eyes watering all day every day. I hope you get to feeling better, it sure sucks dont it!

Excellent, I was wondering where the rest of the team was. We should get a couple of names and do some voting on what we like, and maybe an avitar that we can use in our signatures like the ohter teams. Its time we start representing!

I'm game for lung bustas

I've seen a couple nice deer but nothing worth shootingand also been seeing plenty of does, just to hot to shoot one right now. I'm just waiting for the temp to drop some until I will harvest some more does.

Hey,

Everyone now has the ability to upload their sinatures, directly from your computer, instead of having to host them somewhere, and Everyone now has the 30k limit for their signature upload, (instead of 13.0 k) directly from your computer. Also, everyone now has the WYSIWYG editor, even if they did not before. They can change it back if they want, but everyone now has it.

Everyone can thank Scott and Brittany (at Greyloon.com)

Right click on the picture(signature) and "Save image as....". choose a folder somewhere in your computer to save it in, such as "My Pictures", which is found in "My Documents", so you know where to find it when you upload.

Then go up to the toolbar in the forums and click on "User CP", and "Edit Signature" (upper left hand side in grey strip toolbar)
Then scroll down to "Option 2 - Upload Image From Your Computer" and click on the "Browse" button. Then go to the folder you have the picture stored in and click on the picture.
Then just click "Save Signature" .

That should take care of your signatures.

sorry i haven't been on lately but i have gotten a doe ,and i shot a buck saturday, i had it at 15 yards picture perfect shot, i shot it and had good lung blood for probably 600 yards or more. i found where it had laid up, there was blood everywhere, but it must have gotten up and walked away, because the blood just disappeared, anyway i didn't find it. kinda bummed but rifle season opens saturday so i hope all goes well

Brad6639
11-08-2007, 07:32 AM
I havent been on in awhile, but I shot a 160 class 10 pointer on the 27th, problem was I hit my arm guard and hit him in the neck, had a small blood trail for 3/4 of a mile, and then lost him. We found where he bedded down and then got back up and there was no blood anywhere so we gridded the hill and still came up empty handed. I figure he lived, he would have to bleed to death to die from a neck hit, and if he quit bleeding that couldnt have happened. Really sucked though, it was the biggest buck I ever had in bow range and then that happens.

Rifle season comes in this Sat. and I am really pumped. I have found a ridge line that is being worked. It is covered in scraps and rubs, too many to count of both. Anyway, I hope to have some good news in the next couple of days.

Rough season for me as I've only had two deer within bow range and didn't have a shot at either one. The first shotgun season opens up this Friday, so I'll be out this weekend, but I'll primarily be concentrating on getting my wife an opportunity at her first deer.

This is probably the worst season I've ever had. I've probably only had a 10 deer within shooting range of whatever weapon I've been using (bow & shotgun) and haven't had a good shot at any of them. The rut wasn't great in my area, but about 80 more deer were taken during the first gun season this year than last. Hopefully I'll be able to get a shot at something during the late part of bow season.

Well guys I did not get any bruisers this year just shot a couple does including this one I shot Friday. The only good one this year was the one my dad shot. I put him in my favorite spot and he end up shooting a P&Y buck chasing does at 20 feet from the tree stand. Oh well, thats how it goes sometimes... I'm just glad he got him rather than anybody else. You never know... I have a month left in MD and I'm going for a five day trip to Alabama fro some deer hunting in Jan.

Season's over here. I started the season with 5 unfilled tags and I finished the season with 5 unfilled tags. Awful season for us. We couldn't even see any does during the antlerless-only season. Hopefully next season is better. It sure can't be any worse.
