croaking.....carp croak,as do freshwater drum......but im betting you caught a big huge sucker, they can be kinda trout looking in the rivers, a large shad might be it as well

What part of the Rap did yall catch the fish? If you were past the 360 bridge the water gets salty (closer to the ocean) and it could have been a Croaker. (Saltwater fish) What did you catch it on? A Croaker is kinda shiny with a purplish/pink color to it and sometimes has little black spots on it. Looks similar to a puppie drum. I bet that's what it was.
