I think Frank hit the nail on the head.

I am not familiar with Frank, but think after reading some of the comments below, seems some readers kinda missed that this article was full of sarcasm, at least that was how I took it.

While Frank can be, and is in this article, very sarcastic, I believe that in this little ditty he is trying to point out that Obama is doing nothing more than saying what people want to hear, with no real plan to perform these miracles. None of Obama's thoughts are original (his own if you will) or new. This "hope" he speaks of is neither new nor realistic, but his fervent followers would follow him to their death for this "hope". I will not be here to see it, but I am willing to put money on it that "this was the moment", was not the moment.

I have said all along Obama's speaking seems to be lacking or empty Dave. I have not heard anything from him that resembles any real talk about solutions to the problems we face. He uses a lot of quotes and reflects back to what others have said in a way that seems to generate a lot of hype, unfortunately as is very apparent many people(voters) do not look farther than that.

Holy Cow! I never imagined that anyone, not even Barack Obama could be this much of a pompous fool...
“... I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment when we began to provide care for the sick and good jobs to the jobless; this was the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal; this was the moment when we ended a war and secured our nation and restored our image as the last, best hope on earth. This was the moment — this was the time — when we came together to remake this great nation so that it may always reflect our very best selves and our highest ideals.”
BTW - Try reading it and image it being spoken in Cant.

There is one statement in there that scares the crap out of me..."remake this country." This country does not need to be remade. Its fine the way it is. The problem children need to be reeled in and smacked around a bit. I'm tired of hearing "healing" and "hope" and "change" also. Those words right there always rope in the sensitive vote. You know, those people who see sadness and need people in power chanting these words to help them cope because they surely can't do it on their own, nor do they wish to. It's easier to let the government do it for you. No sense of personal responsibility whatsoever. No sense of pride. No sense of honor to the foundations of this nation. All they want is a check to ease their suffering. Makes me wanna vomit.

none of barak's messages should shock you. he's going to remake this country to be the great one of his visions. outdoor plumbing, no cars to create global warming, no heat in your home, no food on the table. and lots more ideas that will kill our society as we know it. after all, it is us who are the demons of the world to these muslims. and yes, obama is a muslim.imho
