My season starts Sept. 27th and I am stoked to say the least.

One little difference for the deer Team...I'm not getting blanked like I did in the spring...GUARANTEED!!!

I felt bad in the spring cause it was my first time turkey hunting and I didnt get a chance until the last day...

well, i bought some scent lok stuff and clothes wash today. Also bought a new bow for the season.....alot better than what i had before.....I cant wait for the season to start.....

Well guys I had a good first day in the woods on Sun. I seen a total of five, but they were all does and fawns. If there would have been a doe there without a fawn there would be a point on the board for us. Maybe Fri. he'll show his face.

Superguide Jr. is travelling a thousand miles a weekend to rodeo-helping on the ranch-and is the starting fullback on an undefeated football team. He is having trouble logging in or he would of checked in. Before you all get wadded up and the post count nazi's start chirping-he's not too chatty-he'll tell you all about his hunting when he gets a chance to hunt. If that isn't acceptable deal with it however you see fit.

You can tell that the deer are aware of hunters in my area. I went all weekend and didn't see a thing, not even a treerat. Maybe some cool weather will come and get em moving. Anybody having any luck?

Well, between trespassers, mosquitoes and pouring rain, my opening day was a wash out. I hope some cold weather comes soon.

can't do anything about the rain, very little about the mosquitoes, but i would sure do something about the trespassers, can't emagine how peed i would be to be sitting in my stand on opening day just to have someone walk by or what ever knowing he's not suppose to be there, hope things look up for you, as for the cold weather were still in the 80's in the day here, but the mornings are in the mid 60's

yeah I would definately do something about the tresspassers. It makes me sick that people don't have any respect for other people's stuff and think they can do what they want to. I'm 23 and I have never tresspassed on someone's property but I have friends that think it's ok because "they don't have any posted signs" bs. Sorry about your luck and hope it's better the next go round.

Managed to get out a few times in both Indiana and Michigan. Lots of does and some decent buck sign, but no shooters yet. I have one more afternoon hunt today in MI. Maybe something will come by. Heading to Kentucky for early muzzleloader season the 18th and 19th of this month. We have a few shooters on our property there I know. Hopefully I'll have some points for us soon.

well my first day of hunting was sat, my hunting buddys went to the lease on wednesday, was suposes to be off friday but was told i couldnt, and had to work late friday got off after dark ran home and got my stuff together and went to the lease got there at around 10;30 they said they hadnt even seen a deer, and that the hogs were back, so i walked to my feeder to see what was up, no sign of hogs, so at 5'30 sat morning i took off for the stand, should have had 5 points for the team, but the morning was cool and almost forgot what i was doing, sitting there watching every thing around me, i see a doe coming in i watched her from about 30 yards away and was just admiring her, she was a big doe, than it dawned on me i was deer hunting, so i picket up my bow and by that time she was only 7 yards away the first pin on my bow is set at 20 yards so i held low but not low enough and the arrow went right over her, she only ran off about 30 years but she was in some thick stuff and couldnt get another shot, seen the way she ran and started walking she will be back, but what a great morning.

Well lets just say that my day today was about the same way. I decided to go to the public hunting ground close to where I live and I was there at about 3:30 pm. I waited until about 5 minutes before dark to start picking my stuff up and right when I stood up in my blind 2 does proceeded to snort at me and RUN! Kind of aggrevating considering they came right from the spot I watched for 3.5 hours and if I woulda been still for another minute I woulda had a shot. Sorry guys, but there is alot of time left so Im not worried...

Got a wedding to go to this weekend that's over 3 hours away, so no hunting for me this weekend. I won't get out until next weekend.

My brother hammered 2 coyotes last night with the Rage 3-blade. He said the blood trails were incredible.

I popped but no drop. I missed a big doe on Saturday. I rushed the shot. Don't worry points though though, I put 4 deer in the freezer last year and I will bag something soon.

seen three does come in, but they stayed around 60 yards away, and wouldnt come any closer. looks like im going to play tag for awhile, so i moved the stand about 40 yards to where they came out, muzzle loading season comes in sat, so im hoping for a chip shot..

I went on the 13th which is my b-day and had a monster gobbler come in at 25yrds. for about 20-30min just feeding. At about 6:45pm a nice 5x came in at 45yds and when he turned my way he was completely broken on one side. Very disappointing evening, thought I was going to get a birthday bruiser.

I could have had a doe for the group, but I let my dad shoot and he missed at 25 yards. :( Not to mention the night before I had a big 12 at 65 yards and he wasnt coming any closer :( I will have one down in the next week or so hopefully. Good luck guys...

well my weekend wasnt much better, how ever i did see some deer, sat morning setting in the stand had a big doe come in and went behind some trees as i was aiming waiting for her to come around, my hunting buddy that has a stand about 100 yards from me shot, and my doe started qourtering away from me at about 120 yards, i shot but shot over her, sat evening had one came beside me, but you cant hear squat in a clear cut, and by the time i looked that way all i seen were leggs,

Nothing for me this weekend. Didn't see any Saturday morning, and saw about 20 Sat. evening, but on the other side of the clover field. Need more corn to get picked to get the deer out of them. Will be back out next weekend.

Well, tonight I went on the public land that is close again and I saw 7 BIG doe. The deer activity is really picking up and I am starting to see some scrapes and rubs so the action is gonna get hot soon!!! Good luck to all you guys...!!!

No luck this weekend. Missed a coyote Sat. morning at 30 yds (had to duck to try to miss a limb and shot under it). I did rattle in a young 8pt. Then Sat. evening missed a doe at 15 yds. Totally blew that chip shot in the wide open. Saw a nice 140" 8pt that evening too across the field.

Oh, and the combination of HS Scent-Away spray and ScentLok is tremendous. Had 8 does/fawns directly downwind of me for over an hour. And the HS doe urine works too. Had a 6pt and 4pt come to the base of my tree from downwind and lick the step of my climbing stick (I'd sprayed it on one boot before walking in). The 6pt hung around for about 5 minutes, so I snapped a couple pics with my phone.

I am not for sure what to do because this wind at about 15-20 mph is odd for me to hunt in. I have always avoided hunting in wind, because I wasnt for sure how deer react to it. I mean, they have to eat sometime right??? This is almost prime time for illinois and the wind is ruining me right now.....oh well, now that I am done venting I will go hunting and post some pics for you guys also....

The wind has everything on hold here as well. I went last Fri. and sat in the rain all day, and all that I seen was a doe. She hung around for an hour or so at 35yds. with no shot opp. I could have got her with a gun, but I bow hunt only now so oh well. I've seen quite a few this season but most with no shot.

Saw 12 does/fawns and had a small buck at 6 yds Saturday evening. Had a small buck chase a doe 5 yds from my tree Sunday morning. Scraping has picked up, so with the weather cooling down the end of this week, hopefully deer movement will pick up.

Here is a picture of my daughter's first buck age 12. Shot at 30 yrds with 22-250. After we got down and she was looking at it she said "Not bad for my first buck". :eek: A fifteen pointer not bad!

Thought I had some pts for the team today...Shot a 5 pt at 815 am and tracked him till noon and lost the blood trial in the rain...very disappointted to say the least...I grunted him right in and a spike can in from the opposite direction of this 5pt and the 5pt layed his ears back and his hair was standing up and he snort/weezed at him(1st time I ever heard that,(pretty awesome) other than on hunting shows)...the spike came walking by my tree at 10 yds...then the 5pt followed...it was a quartering away shot at 15 yds...the arrow didn't pass thru...think it stuck in the left shoulder...ran about 40 yds and the arrow broke off...still about 13 inches of arrow inside...tracked him for about 3/4 of a mile and he never layed down...sorry guys...still have a week yet with the bow...then rifle season after thanksgiving...bin seeing alot of bucks...the rut is definately on here in Pa...cold weather this week should be good...

My brother shot this guy at 40yds just after first light this morning. The Rage 3-blade put him down within 100yds. Main frame 9 with both brows split and a kicker off the back of one brow. Green score 158. G2s are 13 and 13 5/8.

well folks had a good weekend seen lots of deer, mainly on the run.shot at an 8 point on sat at 186 yards with the ml but shot under it, sat night had a spike come in to round 50 yards but the spikes were to long to be legal, sun morning had three does come in but got busted raising the ml, than had a spike that was legal run up to me, the bad part, i got him put had no camra with me he's at the processers now getting cut up, so im sorry i lost us 7 points. im hoping to get another one this year, we got till feb 29 so im hoping i will[ sorry]

hey team finally gettin' some time to hunt again. Ruts been really slow around here lots of does but no huge bucks. i tried rattling the other day got a nice 140 class buck to about fifty yards and decided to pass him..not worth burnin my only tag...i know ill find somethin bigger hopefully the weather straightens out and get cold...congrats to everyone with deer on the ground.

My awful season continues. Didn't see a deer this weekend. The windy weather the past couple weekends has hurt deer movement. Still having multiple fields of standing corn isn't helping either. I haven't seen a buck worth shooting yet this season, either from on stand or driving in my truck. Still not seeing the mature bucks out searching for does consistently. First gun season coming up this next weekend should get the deer stirred up.

Having a terrible season so far. I did get a 7 point at home tonite. I'll get pix and enter it tomorrow. KY was a bust. Michigan was nearly as bad, or worse, depending on how you look at it. Had a great 8 pointer at 20 yards and had a misfire with the ML. Arghhh! Heading to Iowa and Misourri on Wed for 3-4 days of hunting. Hopefully that will be sucessful. I have 3 states left, all re-runs. Tomorrow I hope to get a chance with the muzzle loader in KY. Currently working here. I should have an opportunity to hit Michigan again, I plan to be there this Wednesday or Thursday. And I still have time left in Indiana.

Shot this guy yesterday during our muzzleloader only season. It's a buck we wanted to try to get a shot at this year. We've got Cuddeback pics of him in '07 and '08. I've also got video of him from bow season in '07 and my brother saw him frequently last season while driving in the area. We green scored him at 149".

This afternoon will likely be my last chance to get a better buck. Heading to the lease in Michigan for a last hunt of the season. Next week starts show season for me and all my time will be taken up with the shows and travel. I had a great time being on this team and wish you all the best in the new year. Thanks to you all for being some of the best team mates I've ever had.

Well, I have to admit that I have gotten lazy after second shotgun season. I am also going out bowhunting tonight and our season ends the 15th so I have some time left to put the smack down on one.....I wanted to tell you guys thanks for having me on the team and I hope you all have a safe and wonderful new year.....
