On the TV hunting shows what happens to the meat froma kill.

I say it is packaged up and sent home with the hunter or donated.

Am I right or wrong?

Hey CH,

I don't know about everywhere else but I know here at Archer's Choice that is what happens with the meat from the kills, it either goes home with the hunter or gets donated to someone that needs it.

yep, you are mostly correct. remember, the hunters you see are first and formost hunters, so they may keep it themselves. but, since travel is often a factor, lots of it is given away. i'd venture to say none of it is wasted from any of the prominent shows.

Unless I am mistaken those are the only two choices a hunter has ... donate it or take it ... if they do anything else its concidered wanton waste by any other standards ...
In Iowa we have a program called HUSH and its proven to be a huge success.
Personally if I shoot it I am going to eat it or I have someone that wants it ...
