Listening to the radio on the way home.Remember this fall when the flu vaccine was in a shortage,, everyone blamed Bush for it and the whole country was throwing a fit.Suprise, flu seasons about over and theres still a surplus of it.17 states have loosened or got rid of the restrictions on who can get it and theyre talking about making it available to everyone nationaly again {now that winters about over}
Kinda makes me wonder how much the media blew it out of proportion and how much of it had to do with it being an election year.Sounded like a lotta people couldnt get one at thier doctor and took it to mean they were completely out as wellAnyway, just thought it was interesting a "national crisis" turned into a surplus of vaccine theyll probably wind up throwing out http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Once again surplus huh. Same thing happened last year. I think I said this would happen agian somewhere on this forum if I am not mistaken.
Imho it is all about scare tactics created by the drug companies to attempt to make sure they can sell the product they have.

You're always going to have the "doom and gloom" crowd chimming in.
Hours after the tsunami occured you had the same crowd predicting that the earth was vibrating off it's axsis and we're going to go spinning off into space and global warming was running rampid. Talk to those folks in the Northeast right now - they'd welcome a little global warming right about now!

We have a surplus and so far this has been a milder than expected flu season. Just goes to show you that much of what passes for science is often times just their best guess. Happens a lot with flu vaccines. They have to decide in mid summer what strain of flu they think will be most likely to hit during winter, then prepare the proper vaccine for that strain. If they guess wrong, the vaccine may be totally ineffective. That exact thing happened about 2 years ago.

5 years ago, 7 different companies were making flu vaccine. 5 of those companies were sued into oblivion, and bankruptcy, by our attorneys. 2 companies simply didn't make what 7 companies once did. support tort reform!

Not to mention that whatever vaccine that was made was somehow tainted, restrictions were placed, and now there is a surplus. I don't really remember any Bush blame on it, may be wrong, just don't remember.

I remember the democrats and John Kerry himself putting the blame squarely on the White House and the Bush Administration. Course, the left has blamed Bush for everything bad that's happened for the past 1800 years.

How could you forget it. John Kerry used that in his attacks on Bush. He blamed Bush outright and said he would fix it where this type of thing never happens. Bush when asked about the problem told people to be calm and not to worry, but the idiots in the media like they always do caused a panic in many people and the Kerry clowns really helped by bringing it up whenever they saw they could use it as a possible gain.
I think honestly that after the past two years seeing what has happened with this that people should have their eyes open to what is taking place.
