She is 96 years old and just lost her suit in NY to stay in her rent controlled apartment. So, she is facing eviction now. Happy New Year?

They will pay the difference for her new digs vs. rent control but at 96 I reckon the money guys can't wait any longer and will more than make up the differentails they have to kick in for her new didgs.

Mayor Michael Billionaire Bloomberg is all about money, developers and the well heeled. I not even sure how many times , if any, he goes to the other boroughs in NYC.

During a rash of recent construction accidents in NYC he just said (paraphrasing now) " it is a high risk occupation, you have to expect these things". Gee, since when is any one death an acceptable risk? What if a load of construction bricks landed on him? Is it then acceptable? If you are wealthy and connected you are above the common man?

Our elected officials are more and more detached from reality than ever before.
