Too bad Jimt. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
You may have to take up Snapper on his offer. I hear he's a nice guy. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
I'd go into convulsions without a turkey season. I have to draw for permits too. But I usually plan anohter trip or two just to ensure that I get to go.

Sorry to hear that jimt, if you have the time to get away you can hunt in CT for $81.00 or NY for $75.00, this price will get you tags for two birds in each state.

Move to Michigan. We get about the same weather and we have a guaranteed hunt in May. Turkey hunting is starting to become popular so who knows, in years to come I may not be able to hunt them regularly, may become luck of the draw.
Sorry about you not getting a permit.

jim, I didn't get mine either. Know guys who have got them 4 years in a row. I'm not as interested in the 2 week archery open tags in October, I'm too busy Whitetailin' and the birds are different than the Spring hunting. oh well. Plus, I'm from Michigan and not use to the lottery thing on turkeys. We have a ton of turkeys up here too. I'm in the midcoast, see turkeys almost daily sometimes. saw 45 on Monday.

That is a bummer.Couldn't bear the thought of not hunting in the Spring and having to wait till Fall to hunt again. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Sounds like you should make a trip to 1 of your neighboring states this Spring. http://www.realtree.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think you should be able to buy a spring tag for archery just like the fall tag up here.
