It has started. So much for wait and see.

Is this what all you Sportsmen For Obama wanted?? Here is a first realization of YES WE CAN.....toward USA becoming a socialist state.

This one is REALLY from h***. They didn't wait before they fired the first shot.

Hitler did something like this in the late 30's. The Government knew where every legal weapon was, etc.

HR 45 was introduced on January 6th, 2009, two weeks before BHO took office - knowing the writing/support was on the wall.

Qualifying Firearm: any handgun or semi-automatic firearm that can accept any detachable ammunition feeding device

i.e. ALL handguns AND all "black guns" including the Remington 7600 semi-automatic hunting rifle (not a black rifle) and others like it.

You have to have a federal ID to purchase and same ID is required to possess all you have now even before passage of the law - no grandfather clause.

They titled the bill after Blair Holt who: on the afternoon of May 10, 2007, Blair Holt, a junior at Julian High School in Chicago, was killed on a public bus riding home from school when he used his body to shield a girl who was in the line of fire after a young man boarded the bus and started shooting. Anyone opposing the bill will likely be seen as uncaring over teen deaths at the hands of firearms.

They also claim a need to regulate interstate commerce (the only real control the federal government has is over interstate commerce and:

(c) Purposes- The purposes of this Act and the amendments made by this Act are--

(1) to protect the public against the unreasonable risk of injury and death associated with the unrecorded sale or transfer of qualifying firearms to criminals and youth; unrecorded sales will continue despite licensing by law-abiding citizens

(2) to ensure that owners of qualifying firearms are knowledgeable in the safe use, handling, and storage of those firearms; most firearm owners know the proper use and handling of firearms and the proper storage would include a loaded firearm behind a locked door

(3) to restrict the availability of qualifying firearms to criminals, youth, and other persons prohibited by Federal law from receiving firearms; and licensing would not restrict the availability of qualifying firearms to criminals, youth, and other persons prohibited by Federal law from receiving firearms

(4) to facilitate the tracing of qualifying firearms used in crime by Federal and State law enforcement agencies. any tracing would be back to the licensed/registered owner and not, necessarily the person who used it in a crime

It does not look good for sure.
I'd like to see a Obama supporter spin this.
Don't leave out the ammunition accountability act either.
The master plan...Zig Obama!

I am truley scared what this will do to me and others in a similar position. I run a small buisness doing gunsmithing and special orders on firearms. How long will I or any other firearm related small buisness be able to stay open even though I get no tax breaks from any level of government and pay my money to the IRS. It seems like I am the enemy being the evil evil hate mongering capalist who must be stopped that I am.

You would have to either click "post reply" or "go advanced" when replying, quick reply will not give you the spell check option. The abc icon is to the right above the text box.

Funny hitler dis-armed his country, now we have our own. But some don't see it that way! Like I said in my other post that was locked down. The ONLY reason I photochopped that pic was because obo had his arm raised like hitler! Personally, I don't see anything wrong with it!

But I guess sexual comments in another post looking for a slogan is quite fine! Some people see things in a different way.
:confused::confused::confused:

Oh yeah, just another thing, ITS WAS A JOKE AS WELL! ;)

I didn't either. But, like they say, beauty (or humor) is in the eye of the beholder.

I got an email about HR-45 today. I came in here to make sure somebody started a thread about it. Looks like they were chomping at the bit to get this bill out there. Interesting how BHO supporters have ignored this thread.

nope. obama is off & running on ALL fronts. it's going to be a long few years. and he is messing with unemployment. we're rapidly slipping into a depression like the '30's. as for our sportsmen for obama, they were just a flash in the pan here to change our minds. you won't see much of them any more. :o

Just heard that HR 45 has been included in the secret stimulus bill. That must be part of the reason the stimulus bill is being rushed thru without giving the lawmakers a chance to read it.

I have been in contact with the NRA-ILA regarding HR45.
This is a response I got from them a few days ago on HR45.

Thanks for contacting NRA-ILA.

HR 45, although a registration scheme, does not pose an immediate threat. Many bills are introduced with full knowledge that they will not go anywhere.

If the anti-gunners in the U.S. Congress begin pushing for this bill, we will use all of our power and influence to prevent its passage. As of now it has only a sponsor, without any co-sponsors. It is in a committee and is not up for a vote.

http://www.nraila.org/Legislation/Federal/Read.aspx?id=4329

We encourage our members to contact their Representative on this issue. NRA will monitor this very carefully and keep everyone posted at www.nraila.org (http://www.nraila.org/) and in our publications.

That must be part of the reason the stimulus bill is being rushed thru without giving the lawmakers a chance to read it.I will be very surprised if there isn't some form of gun or ammo restrictions buried somewhere deep in the "stimulus" bill. What else would you expect from the Pelosi/Reid/Obama troika?

I cant believe nobody here has jumped on the guy who sponsored this bill. The guy who brought forward and introduced it. Obama's side kick Bobby Rush.
