Stopping in to say high..Good luck to everyone. I won't be hunting until may unless I can get an over the counter tag.

Any ideas for a name?

The Tombuster 5....is one off the top of my head...

Despite our best efforts we did not get a turkey in South Carolina. Almost got it done at the last minute. The hunt is in my blog.

I have a permit for next week. Hopefully, I can take what I learned in South Carolina and apply it here to kill a bird.

i have been going out about everyday befor school and still have not got one. I missed a big one the first day at 10 yards(still feel stupid about that) but they have not been gobbling much. T hope to have one on the board this weekend.

Still trying here. Can only hunt until noon here in Ohio and the hens don't seem to be on the nest yet and the gobblers are staying with them pretty much all day, making it extremely difficult to try and call them in.

Finally scored on a gobbler this morning. Weighed 22lbs. 10 1/2 inch beard and 1 1/4 inch spurs.

Killed my second bird this morning and now my season is done. He wasn't as big as the first one but this is the first year that I have ever killed 2 birds in one season. The one this morning weighed 20lbs., 9 inch beard and 7/8 inch spurs. I already posted the first gobbler in the turkey contest.

Should have pulled a double myself, but that is the way it goes. Was looking to hear from the other members of the team.
