Sorry I haven't been around here in the past two weeks - been busy at work and around home. I was able to get out fishing on the lake a couple times - too bad the Eagles and Osprey caught more than me.

On the way back to my house I seen a woodcock in the road - I get up a little closer and here there was three of them picking worms in the ditch - I took a couple shots of them, but they were too close I couldn't get all of them in the same frame.

Had a cookout out at my parents and had a pair of purple finch's building a nest in a spruce.

Hopefully things calm down here and I can get out a little more.
I'm still waiting to see my first fawn - I hope to get some good pics of them this year.

Great shots Dave! been missing your pics.
Hopefully things will calm down for you to get back out there and freeze frame a few fawns for us soon.;)

Wow Dave, great shots! :cool: It's really cool when the Ospreys do a divebomb to get a fish! :D

Great shots as usual. Love the detail on the talons on that Osprey, awesome.

BTW--pretty sure your purple finch is actually a house finch.
