Anyone ever doa bear hunt where you drift a river and scan the shore line for bear? Considering doing one of these in northern Alberta this spring.

Anyone ever doa bear hunt where you drift a river and scan the shore line for bear? Considering doing one of these in northern Alberta this spring.
Never done it but it would be awesome-in the spring those bear graze just like cattle-take a good camera-a fishing rod-and prepare for a great time.
Sounds pretty interesting. Gun or bow? I assume you then land the boat and get out and stalk them, right? Or just shoot them from the boat? Either way, it sounds pretty fun!
I'm pretty sure you have to land and stalk-but that's most fun any ways .
From what I understand you do land the boat and stalk on foot. I was told the weapon is of your choice. You work out of a spike camp and travel up the river for a couple of hours before day light and then drift back down.
Another thing works awesome if spotting and stalking is to call one in. I've called them just by squeeeking a blade of grass-they'll come fast though lol.
