    Default 1943 elk rack

    I don't know if I have posted these here. This elk was killed in 1943 in WA. It was given to me last year by my wife's grandfather and shot by his uncle with a 30-30 carbine.

    In a word........ Outstanding!

    That is one heck of a bull. And brought down with the lowly old 30-30 (by some peoples estimation..not mine). It just goes to show you what shot placement is worth.

    Great trophy rack. The bull lives on!

    It scores 373 gross. I might have cabela's display it in the new showroom they are building in my town. It is a rocky mtn elk. I'll shoot one like it if I draw my tag this year.
